Tasting Notes

NOSE

Grainy. Nuts. Light sweetness. Bread dough. Marzipan and honey. With water the nose is very different.

TASTE

The arrival is full and hot, sour of juicy oranges, tangerines, some lemon. All sorts of juicy fresh citrus fruits and barley sugar. In the background there are the savory dried herbs.

FINISH

The finish is dominated by a dryness and bitterness of citrus white flesh. And later it becomes sweeter, leaving the aftertaste of barley sugar.

Auchroisk Distillery

Founded in 1974 - Auchroisk is a distillery many have yet to hear of. It is a relative newbie when compared to some of its ancient Speyside counterparts. First bottled in 1986 as a single malt, it was noted for its subtle, soft fruity qualities. It’s those qualities we are looking for when selecting casks from Auchroisk.

Auchroisk Single Malt Scotch Whisky is made from the naturally pure waters of Dorries Well, a feature as old as the hills that gives this whisky its smooth and subtle character.
